Marc Antonetti, MD, FACS, ASBS
Dr. Antonetti is a graduate
of Georgetown University where he completed his Bachelor of
Science degree, earning magna cum laude honors, as well as
his Medical Degree while serving in the U. S. Air Force
Reserve Medical Service Corp. He completed his Internship, Residency in Surgery
and advanced laparoscopic surgery at the University of Connecticut,
where he also served as Chief Resident in Surgery.
Following residency, Dr. Antonetti
completed his Air Force service with the 60th
Surgical Operations Squadron at Travis Air Force Base and
served five months with the 506th Air
Expeditionary Group at Freedom Air Base in Kirkuk, Iraq.
Dr. Antonetti was Board Certified in
2003 and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He
is also a member of the Society of Gastrointestinal
Endoscopic Surgeons
and the American Society for Bariatric
Surgery.
Dr. Antonetti is a specialist in
minimally invasive surgery. He has joined the team at SC
Obesity to provide the highest quality care for the
Bariatric patients of South Carolina. The Laparoscopic
Roux-en-Y Bypass as well as the Lap-Band are being offered
exclusively at Lexington Medical Center.
