Glen F. Strickland, MD, FACS, ASBSDr. Strickland is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he earned his degree in Biology. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. He completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.After completing a year of training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas—Southwestern, Dr. Strickland entered into private practice. He was Board Certified in 1992, Board Recertified in 2002, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Strickland is interested in all aspects of general
surgery and enjoys a diversified practice. He has a special
interest in laparoscopic surgery and performs laparoscopic
repair of hernias, anti-reflux procedures, laparoscopic
removal of diseased colons and solid organs. Additionally,
he has extensive experience with weight loss surgery. He
performs laparoscopic gastric banding and the Roux-En-Y
gastric bypass procedure.
