Who What Where When Why

  • Who?
    • At South Carolina Obesity Surgery Center, you can expect to see dietitians, guest speakers, patients, and other community members. Everyone is welcome at support group! Whether you have already had bariatric surgery or you are considering it, you are welcome to attend and you should expect to meet others on the same journey.
  • What?
    • Support group is designed to provide everyone with more information about surgery and the lifestyle changes that are necessary for weight loss success.
  • When?
    • The first Tuesday of every month from 6:00-7:30pm.
    • Remaining 2017 dates: March 7th, April 4th, May 2nd, June 6th, July 11th, August 1st, September 5th, October 3rd, November 7th, and December 5th
  • Where?
    • It takes place in the front lobby of South Carolina Obesity Surgery Center (146 North Hospital Drive Suite 430, West Columbia, SC 29169). Every group is also recorded online and free to watch at http://scobesity.com/events (select “support group” and then select “register to attend online”). 
  • Why?
    • Research indicates that those that attend support group are more successful with long-term weight loss. Bariatric surgery is a life-long commitment. Join us to continue learning and meet others on the same journey!
