Protein

Aug 26, 2022

A common question/concern bariatric patients have is “Am I getting enough protein?’  Our recommendation is to get at least 60-70 grams of protein per day.  What does 60 grams of protein look like?  Journaling on a food app can give you the assurance that you are getting adequate protein.  Read labels to see how much protein is in a particular food.  Below are 2 examples of 60-70 grams of protein.  Be sure to be adding your non-starchy vegetables and whole grains too, to increase your fiber intake.
