A common question/concern bariatric patients have is “Am I getting enough protein?’ Our recommendation is to get at least 60-70 grams of protein per day. What does 60 grams of protein look like? Journaling on a food app can give you the assurance that you are getting adequate protein. Read labels to see how much protein is in a particular food. Below are 2 examples of 60-70 grams of protein. Be sure to be adding your non-starchy vegetables and whole grains too, to increase your fiber intake.
